Welcome to Lomita

Lomita a family friendly City located in the Southern part of Los Angeles County, just north of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It sits half way between Redondo Beach and Long Beach… just 6 miles to the coast in either direction which makes surfing and other water sports easily accessible. This suburban community has a very active City Council that strives to enrich the quality of life for its residents and business owners. The population from the 2010 Census was 20,256 and continues to grow as more and more families strive to find more affordable housing options within the coveted South Bay area. Lomita real estate owners enjoy a much lower cost of living and house prices than the surrounding communities. When you start house-hunting here, you’ll find many meticulously maintained single-family homes which were built in the 60s & 70s have been upgraded with hardwood, open concept floor plans, and stone countertops. A fun fact is Lomita established a ‘sister city’ relationship with Takaishi, Osaka, Japan in 1981.
