Polliwog Park on the east side of town includes the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden, as well as a small lake, open-air concert amphitheater where Summer Concerts in the Park are held, playground equipment, picnic tables, restrooms, and a fenced dog exercise area.
The Manhattan Beach Library was rebuilt in 2015 and was awarded the Library of the Year in 2019. The new library includes a dedicated children’s library which included a dedicated children’s library, teen center and community meeting room as well as a section for adult novels, reading areas and public access to their technology center with computers and printers!
