Many more shops and restaurants can be found close to the beach at Riviera Village. This premier shopping area has over 300 boutique retailers and dozens of dining choices. HT Grill at Riviera Village is a fine dining destination with a diverse menu of prime steaks, fresh seafood, lobster tails, gourmet burgers, and salads. Bluewater Grill offers delicious fresh seafood and happy hour drink specials with an outdoor patio overlooking the sailboats and palm trees at King Harbor and Redondo Beach Pier.
Riviera Village Summer Festival is a summer highlight, featuring more than 300 high-end arts and crafts booths. This lively event also has a beer and wine garden with live entertainment throughout the day, plus an international food court and children’s carnival rides.
BeachLife Festival in early May is a three-day extravaganza bringing top live acts to Redondo Beach’s Seawater Lagoon. The first BeachLife festival in 2019 featured headline performers Brian Wilson, Jason Mraz, Willie Nelson, and Ziggy Marley.
Redondo Beach is full of fun places to visit at any time of year. The 6.3-acre Veterans Park has a community center, a playground, and grassy, tree-lined lawns. The International Boardwalk runs along King Harbor and Redondo Beach Pier, showcasing beautiful marina views and many great places to eat and drink.
The city’s world-famous esplanade is another wonderful spot to stroll and take in the ocean views. The esplanade runs along the 1.5-mile sandy stretch of Redondo Beach. This popular surfing beach is known as the birthplace of California’s surfing culture. In October, Redondo Beach is one of the best places in the South Bay to celebrate Halloween, with a Halloween costume contest, parade, and DJ party on the pier. Another seasonal celebration is December’s Riviera Holiday Stroll. The holiday stroll takes place in the Riviera Village shopping area, with a marching band parade, horse-drawn carriage rides, and lots of festival lights and decorations.
